Deal edging closer. Gut tells me it won't happen.

Would absolutely LOVE to see Ronaldo play against Brighton.

Doesn't really fit the Pep profile. He doesn't tend to introduce aging superstars after one last big payday into his squad.

Agree with the OP. It won't happen.

I'd love to see it, if nothing else for the complete and utter MELTDOWN amongst Utd supporters :lolol:

Would be interesting to see. Kept scoring lots of goals last season but other than that he was not as good as a few years back, looked a bit... old.

Still a top player obviously.

Very much what I am looking forward to seeing (if it happens which I still feel is unlikely)

I imagine they will replicate the Tevez 'Welcome to Manchester' sign which so riled United fans previously

The chance to watch him play live is also an incredible prospect

On they other hand, having managed Messi for many years, Pep must be excited by the idea of managing Ronaldo. Meanwhile he has just said he's only going to be at City for two more seasons so long term thinking isn't as much in his mind.

And even if Pep doesn't want him, the owners may say "f*ck that, we're getting him anyway". It's Ronaldo. City want to be the biggest club in the world. They'll do it if they can.

Who knows, a speciulative mind chasing conspiracy theories may even link a potential Ronaldo signing with Pep saying he'll be gone in a couple of years. But I think Pep will be intrigued about the opportunity.

Me, I'm just disapppinted we won't see Messi at the Amex....

Who's turn is it to make the sign asking for his shirt?

Can't be me as I've done the one for Grealish.

So who makes way for Cristiano Ronaldo - Foden, Mahrez, Sterling, Grealish?

We are fast approaching the point at which we have the first £100 million sub.

And presumably Love Island.
Yep having respect for one of the best players of all time if not the best is so much like being a love island fan.

Maybe it's you with the repressed love for him that makes you lash out like that ;)
