Older brother of my English teacher at Secondary school - played a great character in The Day of the Jackal which is an amazing film.

Should that be elder brother? Oh dear, the irony...

Sad to hear of his passing - a very versatile actor in support roles mainly and very much enjoyed his work.

Sad yes, but is it really tragic when an 80 year old man passes away?

No. But a chance to spend a moment to say, hmmmm....a good life, and bon voyage.

Never really the star, but a superb support actor, if there is such a phrase. one of those faces that everyone will recognise, even if they aren't aware of his name.

R.I.P.

His brother was my teacher I was two years behind my brother Driver 8. Dave Pickup was also in a rock band.

Sad news. Was in one of my favourite films, Zulu Dawn, and also saw him on stage with Gwyneth Paltrow (lucky Ronald)
