Ronald has a ST and goes to pretty much every away game - two seasons doing that and you’re going to be in T1 for most away tickets.

Yeah although new to the Albion he certainly is very very worthy of his ticket...and maybe even a statue...ok maybe just a bit of cool graffiti of the guy would love to see that (spray can artists take note pls)

Waiting list got devastated by covid lockdowns and hasn't existed for a couple of seasons. Might be back now but definitely wasn't around when he got his ST. A few of Ronald's away tickets in early days were player comps from the South American players. Got friends with a similar timeline of getting a ST and then doing all the "unappealing" aways, plus cup matches, who have got enough points now to be first tier for Roma. Yes it costs money but that is what the points are rewarding and presumably for Ronald it is an investment as the views of his videos will bring some income in from YouTube.

Don't know about the away bit, but I think Covid killed the ST waiting list. I've actually had a mate who gave his up after 2022. People around us have changed too.

Yes he's put in the miles over the last 2-3 seasons. I do quite a lot and see him everywhere following us too. Where were you?

Of course he is worthy. You could argue that a majority of those that go to most away games are able to go as they have a few quid in their pocket and have the time to go.
Tickets are available for most away and home games these days so the opportunity is there to build up the points.

I got a season ticket fairly easily at the beginning of last season after only buying sporadic tickets for years. I also managed to easily get tickets for various aways last year, the 3-3 at anfield, the 0-3 at Saint on boxing day etc. Lets be honest we havent always been this popular... and i haven't done half the travelling or expenditure that he has in that time and got a Roma ticket yesterday. Am I 'worthy'?

If you've got the points and are willing to pay, you deserve to go. I'd consider what it is specifically about him that draws your ire so much.

I can't believe that some are criticising Ronald and other people who had put in the 'hard yards' to build up a loyalty by attending away matches, not just the easy London Saturdays but the midweek Northern games. They have truly earnt their right to buy tickets.

No system will please everyone but I think the one we have is as good as any. It rewards those who go consistently but also gives people a chance to climb the ladder if they are prepared to put in the hard yards. It's miles better than the likes of Newcastle and West Ham which ensure the status quo remains forever (every game worth a point). Given Tony himself was involved in its production - and is one of the best mathematicians on the planet - we are unlikely to see much improvement.

If you want to get to the top of the queue for tickets

- Buy a ST (there was no waiting list post covid or when I got mine 2 years ago)
- Do the majority of Northern aways.

Like you I live 160 miles away from the Amex but took the plunge for an ST and the Northern aways are worth 10/15 points but are an easier reach than the AMEX. I'm now Tier 2. I'd imagine the blogger bloke has done the same.

Yeah, seems a weird person to pick on. Ronald has taken the mantle of being an Albion fan so completely. Our support is better for people like him.

The loyalty system is very simple and logical. Do you commit to watching the Albion home and away regularly? If yes, then you are more likely to get a ticket.

I understand the poster lives 150 miles away but come on, they can’t seriously expect to be ahead of the 22k season ticket holders because they watched regularly in 1979 (45 years ago for those who forget that)?

Why do you think they should get a ticket ahead of someone that goes to every game and has done for the last few years? You don't need to kill to get a ticket, you just need to go to games!!!

There wasn't a waiting list immediately post-Covid, and he's definitely done the hard yards travelling over the last 2-3 seasons. Why do you think he isn't worthy?
