Rom wages war on Blues

Perhaps I am seeing it slightly blighted but.

Put yourself in Lampard's and Terry's expensive leather moccasins. You sweat blood to get a club side through a succesful season.

In the close season the club sign a couple of mercenary galacticos who strike a deal better than you. Through the season they do NOT contribute as much as was expected and in some quarters are contrbuters to a less successful season which then drives your bosses to say that they will not reward you for a less than successful season.

Not ideal but then I am sure food will still be on the Lampard and Terry dinner table this coming season.

I agree with the principle, in that Terry and Lampard have been at Chelsea for some years, and have been among their best players, and therefore should possibly be rewarded as such.

However, I can also see why Sheva and Ballack got paid as much as they do, particularly when Ballack was on a free.

Lampard and Terry are key players for Chelsea, and would be more deserving of the salary for what they have done for Chelsea, however, the last point you make pretty much sums up how I feel about it. If they earn £10,000 a week less, it's not much of a difference, particularly after tax.

I think Messrs Terry, Lampard and Robben can expect a late night visit from a gang of heavily-armed Russian gangsters sporting black leather trenchcoats very soon now.

Robben might leave, but I expect Terry and Lampard to sign later this month. Let's not forget, Rom is a nasty man.

There is that

"You don't decide when you leave, I do" :)

Lampard was excellent for Chelsea in the first year Jose was there, but despite all the goals etc since, dont think he has been quite good.He does tend to go missing in the big games. Even when he scores, he doesn't really do much.

Gerrard has shockers sometimes, but he's more inspirational and you can really see him dominate certain games. He also seems more of a big game player, look at his record in cup finals etc.

All Rom has to do to whip these twats into line is to flex his muscles by making sure the players see his new, fierce "bodyguards".

I'd start by introducing them to the captain, a bit of small talk, some hard stares, something muttered in Cyrillic between Rom and Head Henchman, maybe a tap on the chest just to indicate where the pistol is lodged in the holster underneath the trenchcoat. That sort of thing.

I think Sheva(If given a chance next year) will come good as will Ballack, they need to get used to the pace.

Henry took a while to settle at Arsenal as did Drogba.

Ballack and Shevchenko are older than those two. I've felt a bit sorry for Sheva personally and don't think the effort has been lacking. Ballack, however, has strolled through the season for me...

If he thinks Shevchenko or ballack deserves to be paid more than Lampard or John Terry he is in dream world.

I'd tell him to stick it and go elesewhere, the fact is...Shevchenko and ballack and havent done a lot to justify their wages!

:nono:

JUSTIFY THEIR WAGES!!!!!!! F***in hell - £115K A F***IN week works out to £6 million a year - NETT

Assuming the dosy sods play an average of a game a week that's £1,300 quid a F***IN minute

NO ONE playing football imo deserves such obscene amounts of money.................... AND RELAX

Terry and Lumpard actually seem to believe the hype about them. No way Terry is in the top defenders in the world so why does he deserve that amount of money? Lumpard is an widely overrated player who does not control games so the fact is saying that amount of money is not enough is a joke. Doubt anyone else would be willing to pay them that money
