Heard RM earlier today on radio saying nobody can deny City deserve the title - Ha, what absolute bo**ocks and Marsh you tosser.
If everyone could spend £500m on players and pay wages of £250k per week then he might have a point but please..........

The last time I saw him was on that celebrity coach trip acting the same arrogant and ignorant way he has for years. They should have left him in whatever country they were in at the time.

This doesn't make sense, but feels like neither United/City deserve title, Ars/Tot don't deserve CL and whoever survives won't deserve that"

Saw this tweet a few days back, as weird as it sounds I kinda agree with it.

But City do deserve the title. Money has had a huge influence but it always has. United's team was hardly paid for with a tenner and a bag of ready salted. Sure, City spend millions but football-wise they have been the best team all season. Generally, the richest teams win. Thats football these days sadly. You just have to hope that a) FFP means it doesn't last and b) if teams do "buy the title" they at least seal it by playing enjoyable football.

Utd spent £55m this season, City spent £79m. Hardly a big difference in Premier League spending terms. Utd have been mopping up the Rooneys, Ferdinands and spending more than the rest for years - time for them to get a little of their own medicine.

That'll be Man United - the side who has a £30million pound striker who can't even make the bench? Yep, real paupers....

It's a strange thing, but I was always of the belief that if you score more goals, concede less and gain more points than the opposition then you deserve to win:shrug:

Rooney £30m, Berbatov £30.9m, Hernandez £14m, Ferdinand £25m, De Gea £18m, Young £20m, Valencia £18m, Nani £17m. But City bought the league.

I'm with you on this, To me the whole PL this season has been a bit flat, The bit about Ars/Tot not deserving champions league i can see why. Bundesliga is the way to go

Just buying the best players is not enough, you need to mould them into a team and risk upsetting some big egoes as well as avoiding those players who only want to turn it on when it suits.

Well pl;ayed to city, their fans have been through more than most and they've also had United taking the piss out of them all these years.

As people have said above, United spent a bundle on their current squad. Ridiculous to suggest City are the only team throwing money around.

Liverpool spent friggin' loads last summer

Man City spent £425m on players, out of a total loan from Mansour of £1.5b so far.
Abramovich's cover of losses is now approaching £1b

A 'mere' £113m by Liverpool in 3 transfer windows, pales into insignificance, and these days doesn't get you into the top 2.

Regarding Man City, they played the best football for most the season, scored the most & had the best defence; and were the worthy Champs.

Re Rodney Marsh, he's a hypocrite. Making himself part of the glory today, when it went belly up for Man City in Feb/March, he was in media saying City had definitely lost it & blaming Balotelli. Now rears his head from Florida.
