personal favorites are metallica and the albums master of puppets, ride the lightning and kill em all. also try pantera reinventing hell

could go on for ages with this but they are good for starters

:thumbsup: also, Pantera's "Cowboys From Hell" is a seriously good album and one that I would point out to anyone new to this style music.

Try a band called The Wildhearts, they would have been massive if they hadn't imploded due to all the drugs and in-band fighting!

There records "Earth vs the wildhearts" still sounds as good as when it was released in 1994 :thumbsup:

Their latest album Chutzpah! which was released last year is pretty good.

Porcupine Tree - current band, still going, and I'd recommend 'In Absentia', 'Lightbulb Sun', and 'Deadwing'.

Older stuff;
CZAR. Made one great self-titled LP, 40 years ago.
Stray - 'Mudanzas'.
Jonesy - 'No Alternative'.
Scorpions - 'Lonesome Crow' (their debut LP)
High Tide - same
Satin Whale - Desert Places
Bakerloo - same
Cressida - 'Asylum'
Beggars Opera - 'Waters Of Change'
T2 - 'It'll All Work Out In Boomland'
