Load of old tosh though. They donā€™t know who the next manager will be and might find heā€™s even better. Surely who we appoint next is far more important in any decision players might make.

If Enciso and JPJH put in transfer requests, then granted, Iā€™d say that would be impactful. For example. Quality lost and that ever accelerating feeling that our revolving door is quicker than the other PL clubs.

Caicedo and Mac departing ripped the heart out of our XI.

The quality of players is more important than the manager.

Iā€™m not trawling through the thread, too pissed.

Regardless of recent opinions I assume weā€™re giving him a decent send off tomorrow?

My feeling is that bloom has called his bluff here.

Making all that noise between Feb and now has made Tony act. I think RDZ will be disappointed and regretful.

Only yesterday RDZ was talking pre season, transfer markets and returning/resigning players.

RDZ may live to regret this. He was at a club that gave him full license but would only work within the remit that it felt safe to do so. We are ahead of everyone in terms of FFP.

Total balls up on his part.

Indeed, exactly what Poyet did.

In-coming manager warning - don't mess with TB and don't bite off the hand that feeds you.

Poyet Mk 2, I totally expected this to happen.
Pushed too far, thought he would walk into a big club and too late to back track when it didn't happen.
Shows no loyalty, maybe it's a foreign coach thing, talks too much and airs dirty laundry in public.
Tony is no fool and has been planning for this for a while now and will have already worked on possible replacements.
Playing style got sussed and there is no go to alternative or counter solution.
Talking about your plans and players for next season is too late once the bridges have bern burned.

That suggests that RDZ was an actor this year, simply playing a political game. Instead, I thought he looked tired, frustrated, gutted.

Time will tell.

Seems like dozens of people here are desperate for RDZ to fail for the rest of his life. A bit weird from those who became emboldened in recent months to say that he was rubbish, that heā€™d just ridden on Potterā€™s coattails. Why would you want someone you consider sh1t to fail elsewhere, particularly when they left at a time that suited the club to a tee?

Bit of a night of the long knives. Wagner, DbZ etc.

I was in Norwich on Thursday when Leeds smashed them. I like Norwich as a club. My Canaryā€™s mate was gutted.

All change!

Baleba has come in and shown he'll be good enough, Pedro has been great, Barco (all be it about the top rated youngster in world football when we signed him) has suggested he'll be great. I think our club will be fine and moving in the right direction still long term. Plenty of other players like JPVH and Gilmour kicked on too.

If decision is partly or wholely Brighton's/Uncle Tony's, then we must have a couple of manager targets who we're confident of landing (hopefully early).

By 1 Sept weā€™ll know whether any of the key players have asked to leave and have.
To be honest, unless someone comes out and explicitly says they wanted out because RDZ left which won't happen then we won't know either way. I'd say there is a good chance Gross will go anyway but we will probably never know if RDZ leaving had anything to do with it but that journo gets his hits and can then say he was right.

Ironic that you write that about RDZ, when about 95% of NSC has done exactly that with Potter!

ā€œwhen he left at a time that suited the club to a teeā€. Plus this, believing all the actors are honest, is a mutual parting of the ways due to a difference of opinion on funding.

Potter delivered two vast runs for those going to home games of non winning, seldom scoring football. It finally clicked at the Emirates in April, he was off to another club mid season just 13 PL games later. Taking our staff. It couldā€™ve royally screwed us.
