On NSC for over two decades...
... it’s not just the fans believing De Zerbi is getting us to places we have only distantly dreamed about since loosing the Goldstone in 1997.

🤷‍♂️
The Goldstone was sold in '95, we were angry renters in '97 when the last game was played.

Apologies for the pedantic comment, but history is important.

We sold the ground in ‘95 but we had the ground for 2 more years up until we played our last game in 1997. I know history is important but I didn‘t write anything that was untrue lol - in 1997 when we actually became homeless, no one could have imagined some 25 years later we would have WC players saying they wanted to try and help Brighton get into Europe - pedantry doesn’t change that but thank you for responding to my comment when no one else did - it’s appreciated 🙂

He’s f***ing brilliant, isn’t he.

Unlike many others managers for cup games, he played a great first 11 at Boro.

Giving momentum a chance.

Better than Potter imho. Sorry if that offends.
Absolute legend. Love him. Cult hero in the making.

He's f***ing brilliant. I reckon he's better than Potter. It doesn't offend. But Potter was great too, and we wouldn't have this without him. No need to be an arse like @Cheeky Monkey

I'm only disappointed with the Charlton game. Brighton were capable of beating Man U, and Man City went out in the next round.

Not much less to win a major touna :( ament

Caught cold after the WC, whilst Charlton had 10 not very good but highly athletic players who spent 120 minutes hectoring us. These things happen. Saved us a trip to mega spending Manure who’ve, no surprise, bought and dived their way to form.

He is fantastic. He seems so calm. When fielding questions about offers for Mac and Moises he just shrugged and said he hoped they would go on to play for big teams (next season). When asked about europe, he just started talking about Leicester away. His confidence flows into everyone else, including me.

Remember all those games under Potter when we played really well for 45 minutes, didn't score but should have and were then found out in the second half? There were tons of them.

Today he would have said "keep it going lads, you've got them" and swapped Solly and Gross into each other's postions.

RDZ sticks to his guns. Press on the right triggers, draw the press from them, move it forward at speed using one touch where you can and we come out firing harder than in the first half and score within a minute, being better in the second half than we were in the first.

It's not the only difference but it's a big one.

I try to forget, incredibly long spells over the three full seasons of rocking up at the Amex, fearing another non-scoring non-win and not being disappointed. You only truly feel that if you take 4 hours out in the cold to be there.

Yep, the RDZ attacking football you describe doesn’t give teams the chance to set up in the proverbial two banks of four or low block.

In addition, we attack in numbers, in 10 seconds four, five or six players in the opposition box. I recall Maupay or Welbeck as the lone body, surrounded by a phalanx of cigar-smoking defenders. Lovely passing play to get there, but painting by numbers. It feels like a tidal wave now when we attack.

There’ll be setbacks to come eg opponents at the Amex will all now do a Villa with 11 time wasting cnts behind the ball. I’m sticking to my long-time nsc point that Klopp’s love of attacking, open football will always suit Albion teams, they’re almost unique.

But this is the most enjoyable time to be an Albion watcher, ever. Even better than 2015/16 2016/17.

Not only has RDZ instilled in March the confidence he needed to take the next step up, he's found enough magic dust left in his pocket to get Welbeck scoring goals like peak Bergkamp.
