I have no idea whether stats support this for the Seagulls, but it's an insight into how he thinks.

He certainly like an aggressive start to a match, and actually he likes an aggressive attitude throughout and not to keen when the pressure drops from the lads on the pitch.

That's interesting because I was thinking at Everton and Boro the only time that we looked like conceding was in the first 15 mins and I blamed it on a shaky defence. Akpoms goal was on 13 mins and after that I didn't think they had many opportunities to score.

Interesting that it's a result of our attacking strategy in the first 15 mins.

Not sure it's the best thing to announce it publicly though.

It did occur to me that if you are a non-native speaker, whenever a journo asks a stupid question, or just one you just don't want to answer, you can just pretend to you didn't understand it and answer an entirely different question instead.

I'm suspicious that RDZ may have already pulled out this trick a couple of times already.

I agree, I've seen that from him too . I'm sure it's a tactic between him and his translator (who I'm pretty sure is excellent)

Thanks for this. I note that these are the games that we scored. Those we didn't in the PL are: Spurs, Brentford, Forest. All of these were played in October, ie within the first month of RdZ.

True - but I posted it, not about Steele, but because it says a lot about De Zerbi’s management popularity when you have the older members of the team like Webster making comments like “Roberto is key [to our success…and] I think we’re going to get better and better”

I also can’t remember a time when key players were being so publicly vocal about the potential for Brighton to go even further when you also take into consideration Mac Allister’s and Caceido’s comments recently about Europe. It really might influence some players into renewing Brighton contracts rather than be too quick to move on immediately when the much bigger boys come calling.

I’ve seen a few NSCers recently (after high scoring wins) telling people to effectively dial down the excitement and optimism- just wanted to say, it’s not just the fans believing De Zerbi is getting us to places we have only distantly dreamed about since loosing the Goldstone in 1997.

But that’s just my personal take - other’s may think differently
