Yeah.

I don't see him staying. Leicester would be a good guess for next club.
Spurs would be more likely than Leicester I think

- he would fit in with where Conte seems to want to go in terms of building out play from the back (yep, De Zerbi Ball is becoming de rigeur!)

- RDZs recent comments about Sanchez v Steele’s footwork though might be a (deliberate?) red flag though

Every good team has been building up from the back for years so yeah that will likely be part of his job.

What Antonio Conte wants is probably not particularly relevant. If he's still there in the summer I will personally walk from Horsham to the moon.

But agree Spurs is a decent guess.

My impression of the Sanchez/Steele situation is that De Zerbi doesn't necessarily think Steele is better technically, more composed or creative than Sanchez. But that he follows the instructions given to him about how and when to use the ball.

For me Steele's technique is worse and he isn't as composed so I definitely feel easier when Sanchez is playing out from the back. Steele has made errors before anyone says anything, he's just gotten away with it.

Sanchez is too relaxed though and that's part of his bigger problem at the moment with mistakes. This is a kick up the arse and he'll be no.1 by the end of the season.

The Moon? That shitty pub in Crawley? That's about 20 minutes' walk from Horsham.

You lightweight ???

There's a club that knows how to treat a top keeper.

Didn’t Schmichael want to leave for a new challenge ?
No. Leicester didn't offer him a proper new contract. The agent has a PhD in after-timing.

I think for Sanchez - he’s a bit of an artist really isn’t he with a very strong sense of his own style - there’s been more of a re-learning curve into RDZs style moving on from Potter - we played a much more defensive game under GP and Sanchez’s place in the team was and has been very secure - until we saw the gradual morphism under RDZ and the role of the GK requiring a mindset tweak from Sanchez. With someone under new management with their place already cemented in the team, it will always be a slightly more challenging adaptation to fit in with a new manager’s style than someone like Steele who perhaps has a slightly different natural skill set as well as having no history of being first choice GK to defend.

Sanchez is a top class PL GK as we all know and has a great future - Steele maybe has less road left to travel so while he’s great for us at the moment Sanchez could be better in the future.
Sanchez is too relaxed though and that's part of his bigger problem at the moment with mistakes.
I think the first point I would make with this is that this ‘relaxed’ attitude might be ironically a lack of confidence because he would like to be a perfectionist so falls hard onto his petard when he does not meet his own expectations - maybe the overly carefree and laconic demeanour at times during matches is perhaps is a defensive emotional cover - I think occasionally he has some concentration issues especially after making minor errors which can lead to more serious ones which in turn is connected to the first point. He is still young - it’s easy to forget that.

Skint or not, I think they will spend money in the summer if they stay up and I'm guessing finding a goalie will be one of their main objectives.
I’d agree with their need for the goalie. Be surprising if they stump up as much as we would demand for Sanchez though judging by their recent transfer business.

The value of a Sanchez summariy dropped in favour of a former journeyman keeper is likely to be consideraby reduced.

Ok but he is 36 years old and was there 11 years. All his interviews stated one more challenge in his career

He would have stayed. LFC f***ed up.

Or maybe not, if he's shit now.

So far only 26 appearances this season for Nice so, to soon to say.

And speaking of Spurs - some Saturday Night teamtalk from Ben Jacobs for you on RDZs likelihood of staying at Brighton next season - fluff but its nice fluff
Ben Jacons is a ****. End of.

Depressing thing is, shit he (and others) says makes its way to the BBC rumours page. And so it goes on.

It's all nonsense.
