Spanish newspapers are reporting that Roberto Carlos has demanded a transfer.
The 31-year-old Brazilian was dropped for Real's last league game and he has apparently told Butragueno he wants to leave in January.
Carlos, who joined the club in 1996, has a contract until 2007 but he has threatened to leave several times over Real's refusal to put him on the same wages as top-earners Raul, Luis Figo, Zinedine Zidane, Ronaldo and David Beckham.
Maybe we could swap him for Dan Harding?!
