Spain v Portugal tonight live on Sky Sports Football channel. Kick-off 6.30pm.
We'll find out shortly if our young Number One is starting in goal for Spain.

Good luck Big Bobby for the weeks ahead.

He'll get minutes either in the second half or next game.

Hopefully Unai Simon ****s up royally. He's been poor for Athletic this season and there is a lot of doubt around him so if he does poorly today, Rob will probably get closer to the eleven without even playing.

He was fourth choice at lowly Albion a year ago and now potentially starting for Spain in a tournament.?
This kind of rise is very very rare.
He’s up to the job though. No doubt about it.

Yes, completely eligible for England, as has an English parent (father?) but also has been in the country long enough to be eligible.

He chose Spain.

Sensible fella but it would have been amazing to see how many of our back 6 (minus Veltman and BDB) could have played for England at some point. Maybe he didn't like Southgate.... i assume he had not played at the lower levels of England e.g. U21... Maybe he thought playing for Spain he will have a chance of winning something.

Any idea why he’s started the last 4 games in a row (each of which Rob’s been in the squad for) if there’s “a lot of doubt around him” as you say?

Maybe he saw the way Southgate has dealt with Dunk and thought he'd stand a better chance of fair treatment elsewhere.
