Rob Lee was once a good player - he's not good enough for us these days though. He played against us either last season or the one before and didn't look any good then. He would cost a fair bit simply because of his past reputation. We'd be better off using the wages on a promising youngster (or a forward)

Very good point. Performance pay is a thing of the past for most companies, surely the board will look into it then?
