Codner was a real enigma, could be a class apart on his day. But all to often it was not his day.

I really liked Codner. Two-footed, good box-to-box work, eye for short and long passes, scored goals and tough in the tackle (though a bit too tough when he broke someone's leg with a foul). Who can forget the second half down the slope against Millwall in the play-off semi? What let him down was his application and consistency.
Anyway Barry Fry obviously made it up with CMS so much that he gave him his daughter!
