Highly entertaining. Has been ripping into West Ham fans who are phoning up with random manager suggestions and refusing to watch the team, defending Martin O'Neill superbly as a man manager, and blasting his own and his colleagues performances for Derby.

Beats Alan Green by a mile.

He is a legend. Would be sad to see him go to Canada.

Robbie Savage is the reason I don't listen to 606 anymore, I think the bloke's an idiot. He constantly argues with callers and if he's getting a hard time he'll, without fail, say "I've played the game, have you played the game? I'm a professional footballer." Seems to me he completely misses the point of 'The FANS' phone in'.

He has some great qualities (liking ripping into hamster fans who are well deserving) and sometimes his responses are straight from the hip (I.e. Not well thought out) but he often comes across as an overbearing bore. I can't make mind up.

Just like most of the callers

Maybe Savage argues with the callers but he normally has a point, OK, it is usually his own...but that bloke who phoned in and slagged off Martin O'Neill, what an arse, Savage owned him within seconds and made him look a complete twat...O'Neill is one of the top managers in the country, someone who not long ago was considered by many to be a good call for the England job.

I guess Savage is Marmite.

Oh, and if you had a presenter on 6-0-6 who just agreed with all the callers it wouldn't make for entertaining listening, would it?

He is more knowledgeable than most give him credit for, and can take the piss out of himself ('I'm just teeth, tan and hair' comes to mind) . I also like the fact that he is not worried about giving bland answers. He made it clear he can't stand Karen Brady.

Radio 5 live gave him the best part of 30 minutes the other morning on whether he should go to Vancouver or stay here and continue with his media career. The man is considered a character because he has opinions on the game, wow we. One caller said that he would happily drive him to the airport. I sort of concur with that.

I hate marcotti, If Savage continues his media career he will end up in some sort of pantomime role.

"you did buy seven pairs of trainers"
"Oh no i didn't"

I do find him occasionally entertaining, but often he rude overbearing and overuses his fall back position of 'I play the game'. This gives him a blinkered and biased view of football especially when it comes to player wages, contract and spoilt brattery.

Anyone notice him give a plug for his mate Darren Anderton to be next manager of Bournemouth - obviously the ex-prem player who had applied before Howe even left

That's not difficult. A dead toad is more interesting than Alan Green.
