Road Conditions M23/A23

Hi

I may need to drive down to Brighton this Thursday. It is not essential but nevertheless quite important.

Other things being equal what are the road conditions like?

No snow or ice at all. A Green Oasis in a land of Snow. Its been above freezing for 48 hours and not expected to be fall below freezing for the rest of this week. Everything is fine.

I drive that route every day as I work in Leatherhead and yesterday/today I encountered no problems at all with traffic/ice/snow but I obviously turn off the M23 onto the M25 so if you want to go further up the M23 i wouldn't know (although I have some staff from the Croydon area(!) and it's still pretty treachorous apparently).

There was another inch or so last night in parts of Surrey but all lanes of M23 were open. I go to end of M23 and swing around to Redhill so can't comment on A23 north of end M23. I'm sure you'll be OK.

It is fine north of the M23/M25 and all the major roads are open and gritted.

A22 and A25 were fine in Surrey north of East Grinstead today, but apparently we're in for another snow dump tonight. Guess it depends on what time of day you do the drive.
