All I'm saying is I doubt the club will choose to appeal. And if we do, I'll be surprised if the FA does anything more than sweet FA if we did appeal.

A grazed knee is not the same as the injury you saw in the game. Don't belittle my comment just because it suits your rose-tinted agenda. What happened, happened and we will just have to manage without a key player going into the play-offs.

I have belittled you because you have posted on a football forum not knowing very much about football.

The club have already confirmed they are to appeal.

I've watched it back 20 times and it's quite obvious that Ramirez's injury was caused by him kicking Stephens, unless they can find another angle showing to the contrary (which they won't) the red card has to be rescinded.

I would like to think the FA realise the implications of today's injustice and see common sense by allowing Stephens to feature on Friday.

i'm seriously saying that those people claiming it was the worst decision they'd ever seen and that it wasn't even a foul are delusional.

for your information, i thought it was a yellow due to lack of intent but a foul nonetheless.

if it had been a Brighton player left on the ground with a hole in his leg the reaction on here would have been completely different.

You sir are talking Bollox.

Problem is they probably won't. They don't like to lose face on big decisions.

Gave every decision to boro. Shocking that a **** of the highest order is allowed to referee a game that important
Agreed. The ref was awful, from start to finish.

I don't mean to be rude but if you've seen it briefly you have seen enough, you really don't need to be a qualified ref or BHA supporter with ROSE TINTED (you patronising fool). Sit down watch it with any sound or commentary turned off and come back and tell me it's a red card.

You don't mean to be rude, but you call me a patronising fool? I'm not going to reply in kind, but you can probably make a fairly good guess about my opinion of you. Goodbye.

That red card will never be rescinded. To do so would mean the FA admitting culpability in a £170m game. They just won't.

Someone made a very good point on Twitter: why wasn't the game given to a Championship ref? A ref who knows the league and the players rather than Mike "Look at me, I'm a walking advert for retroactive abortions" Dean.

Regrettably I think you may be right. It's an easy one to overturn but I'm not sure the FA have the cojones!
