thing is, patently we cant sustain football on the same gates in the UK, especially as pointed out the non-league games are more expensive than the German games cited.
so what details are missing? are the German players being paid that much less? with the money available elsewhere this seems unlikely. who owns the grounds, are there wealthy patrons pumping money in? how much do sponsors put in. whats the average gate price, are there large numbers paying 5 or 10 times the £15 mentioned? in other words, just how are they able to sustain Champions League teams, whats the rest of the story.
how is it nonsence? their careers are short and take up the period of their life when most get educated or trained in professions and careers. it certainly doesnt justify the excesses of modern premier league wages, but seems prefectly legitimate reason why typical footballers have come to be paid substantially more than a typical persons wage.
