I'm glad that you, too, can separate the artist from the person. Yes, she f***ed frozen chickens and used to spit M&Ms out at Big issue sellers but her performances on the Old Grey Whistle test were sublime.
I loved her 'blue period'.
And to think that no woman has won it since, the stat's speak for themselves, today the world is an emptier place, they don't make em like that any more, how many of us can truely say we wouldnt be where we are without her, she was one of a kind, two to get ready, 3 french hens, the angels in heaven will never see evil so personified than in her eyes, at this time we must think of the victims, the devil's got all the best music, good ridence to bad rubbish, you'll never walk alone whilst going home in a county ambulance.
I hope you agree these words are a fitting tribute, ashes to ashes, ground control to Major Tom,junk to junkie,if you believe they put a man on the moon then you must agree she will be sadly missed. pissed. kissed. hissed.
Thank you Ellen. I f***ing LOVED YOU.
You should all be ashamed of yourselves, making a joke of such a sombre occasion.
What if one of Agnes' family were to read this?
You're all heartless hypocrites, especially you Buzzer - you should know better - You at least can normally be relied upon to champion the cause of the older lady.
Am I missing something here? That is a link to a report about an 85 year old woman killed by a bus - in Manchester! Sad loss to her immediate family and friends of course - but if we're going to have RIP threads everytime someone none of us knows karks it a road accident we'll have about 3,500 pointless extra threads a year and my hands will be sore from all the minutes' applause.
Still I've always maintained the buses are dirty, smelly and dangerous and have no role to play in a modern metroplitan transport system and this death proves it.
