RIP Trigg.

Hopefuly he'll be having a reunion with his dad now. Just in case anybody's forgotten, Trigger's old man died a couple of years before he was born...

RIP - played the character brilliantly and was a big part of my growing up.

Trigger lives on in cultural references. Just the other day one of my clients was describing computer code that had undergone too many changes as 'just like Trigger's broom'. We all knew what he meant.

Remember David Jason saying that the fact that the brilliant and so intelligent Lloyd Pack can play a dimwit like Trigger an acting master class. Will be sadly missed. RIP.

Indeed, he was a very intelligent and well-spoken man so he really did have to act the part.

RIP. Drink up Trig, we're leaving.

No need for applause/ silence. Can't we just play a sweeper?

Triggers Broom sums it up for me, genius - loved the programme and the Character - sad news

In this classic scene, Trigger claims that he's had his road sweeper's broom for 20 years. But then he adds that the broom has had 17 new heads and 14 new handles.

"How can it be the same bloody broom then?" asks Sid the café owner. Trigger produces a picture of him and his broom and asks: "what more proof do you need?"

Comedy genius.
One of the few actors that make you bellow out laughing.
Brilliant in Vicar of Dibley and goes without saying in Only fools and Horses.

Sad news indeed.

Hands up who knew Trigger's proper name was Colin Ball? (I certainly didn't!)

Indeed - a sad loss. OFAH is probably my favourite TV programme of all time.

Highly under-rated in Vicar of Dibley IMHO.
