That would have been because stewards at the time were on their anti-standing offensive and were trying to get people to sit down and in response a couple started "stand up if you hate Palace" to prevent the stewards from getting people to sit down.

Should add the stewards this season have been much more relaxed, barely any threads on here about stewarding this season so the club have got it right.

Correct it gone back to more or less self policing. The stewards make a few trips up each game but only make people sit up to about row P now

Although one of the supervisors always goes round telling the stewards to have a crack, think he's not getting anywhere mind! Shame I sit in the front row, wouldn't mind having a little stand now and again...

I'm going to sound like hybrid x and The Truth here but do these crackdowns often coincide with either FA / Football League inspections or the point where many have renewed their ST but some nice families on the waiting list need to be sat together?
