Just far enough away from LDC
Sincere condolences to all who knew him in the real world and also to all those he helped in the virtual one

What terribly sad news :( , but thanks for letting us know @Brian Fantana.

From how often mental health has been discussed on here over recent years, it's clearly something that can affect any of us at any time.

@Brian Fantana - if the family arrange a charity for donations, please share details here - I'll make a donation on behalf of NSC. If there isn't anything formal in place, I'll research an appropriate mental health charity to donate to.

That's a brilliant gesture. I'll liaise with the family and PM you. I'm sure it will immensely appreciated.

That’s very sad news. I hardly know anyone on NSC in real life but feel I know several of you a little through our community and I’m sure I read some of his contributions recently. RIP seagull

If you look through his posts you will see he posted some really nice pix of himself and his sons watching cricket down under a few months ago.
Absolutely nothing in his posts to suggest of turmoil. Apart from a couple of posts on solutions to seasonal affective disorder.
It's not just the past, its other people that can be another country.
RIP.

I’m really saddened to hear this. I didn’t know Andy personally, but like many others have said, we are a community on here and he was one of our own. I hope no one else is suffering in silence on here. I know that sometimes internet forums can become a bit toxic, but I’m sure we can also use them as a force for good and to let people know they are a part of a community and that we can all be here to help each other.

Rest in Peace @seagullwedgee

Awful news and a stark reminder that there is much more to life than arguing about football, politics and any other random topic, because people have real shit going on in their lives. Also the nudge I needed to check in with a few people who have suffered in the past with MH - and still could be now.

RIP fellow seagull - fly high.

I’m sorry to hear this news. The last time I saw Andy was at another Brighton fan’s funeral last July. My condolences to his his sons.
I met Andy both at the Amex and the MCG when he was over visiting his son. Such a lovely chap.
Rest in Peace big man and my condolences to the boys too💙

A friend posted this to Facebook this morning. It’s worth a watch.
