Sad to see Pete Seeger has died aged 94. A man of honour and integrity who did so much for American music. He was a musical great in every sense

Had the great pleasure of seeing him perform live in New York back in the late 60's and it remains one of my abiding musical highlights. Finished his set with a rendition of "This Land is Our Land" that had the audience on their feet joining in like it was an up-tempo national anthem. RIP.

RIP Pete.

I was always surprised by the "This Land is Our Land" song.You probably know it's a Woody Guthrie composition and I always thought he left the "Now" out between "is" and "Our", possibly to make it scan better.

Lol, my first thought as well. I thought that was a pretty pathetic rant and very insular.
