Just heard on the Beeb that he has died of a heart-attack at his partner's place in Dorset. He was 65.

What a great shame. Thanks for the great memories Keith, rest peacefully.

Great shame but he looked very ill on the TV last night.

A cooking legend RIP

We're certainly getting rid of some celebs today - hopefully Michael McIntyre and Davina McCall can join that list before the day's out.

Nice.

Anyway, love Floyd, he was my 1st TV chef.
Star Trek followed by Floyd on Fish, what Thursday tea time was all about.
I used to love 4 appalling recipes, with 1 fantastic dish thrown in.

I always remember him cooking an Italian peasant meal, then saying.
'now in the pot you put a pigs face'. mmm

RIP Keith.

:lolol:

And who could forget his "Quick spin round the ingredients" catchphrase - plus his slightly condescending banter with his long-suffering camara-man?!

Marvelous culinary scenes. :clap2:

Damn sad - I was and am a big fan of his stuff, he was a TV natural. But all that boozing wasn't just for show on the telly and the chap was looking a bit ravaged in any pictures of him recently.

The one where some French battleaxe bollocked him loudly and at great length for having made such a crappy piperade compared to hers was excellent: more fragile egos than his would have stopped filming or certainly never shown it.

I used to LOVE his cooking shows, always made me laugh when he kept sipping the wine and chatting to the cameraman.
