Growing up in the 60's I have very good memories of The Seekers, they seemed to be in the Top 10 and on TV permanently. Judith's voice was indeed distinctive and she always had a lovely smile as she sang, I'm sure my mum must have bought every single they ever made. The world was a better place with you and your bandmates around Judith, and that's not a bad epitaph to have.
RIP and thankyou.

Just seen that Judith Durham, lead singer with the Seekers, has died at the age of 79.

Holds a special place in Albion folklore, I believe, as being the vocalist on the Carnival is Over, the song played after the last match at the Goldstone…..

Yes l remember that well, quite a poignant moment, with the last post being played on the bugle too.

She had such a fresh pure sounding voice, and was a favourite from my early childhood years.

R.I.P. sweet Judith.
