Very sad news.

My first exposure to country music was via a Charley Pride cassette in my parents car, and I still love his voice and music to this day.

His autobiography is a fascinating read, and by all account he was a thoroughly decent, humble guy.

RIP Charley

Another very sad loss in 2020. A true pioneer. Ken Burns Country Show, possibly end of 2019 shed some light on his career. Worth a look. RIP.

He's a name I know, but was never really familiar with. I have two songs of his, one (Kiss an angel goon mornin') from a compilation album, and possibly his last song? as a a guest on Garth Brooks' 'Where the Cross Don't Burn' from his new Album 'Fun', released at the end of November.

There is a story about him concerning John Denver at the 1975 CMA Awards.
Is there?

I know there was controversy involving John Denver and Charlie Rich at those awards.
