Like many others, he has always been around from my childhood. Seemed like he was one of the nice guys and leaves a great legacy across the British entertainment industry

Didn’t realise he was in modern day Dr Who as I don’t watch it.
I remember him from the two Dr Who films from the sixties which were just rereleased as a double bill in certain cinemas.

Brilliant Actor and national treasure.
Loved him in The Railway Children and every role he took on he was excellent. Some great songs he also performed which I loved. Right said Fred was a great song.

The expression “national treasure” is bandied around too much, but Bernard Cribbins very definitely was….. with knobs on.

Such sad news. I once made a vow to answer every question on University Challenge with 'Bernard Cribbins' until the answer was right. After one and half series i gave up,

Bernard Cribbins was virtually an ever present and part of my life growing up, either on Film/TV/Records, the film 'Two Way Stretch' is one of my all time favourite British comedies.
RIP Bernard and thankyou for some lovely memories.
