Because the case was huge, dominated mainstream press for weeks on end, sold millions of newspapers and half of the truth of the case wasn’t being reported. It became a cause celébrè which was ruthlessly exploited by the media and politicians. Enormous amounts of evidence, direct from Hollie Dance’s own social media, wasn’t covered by the mainstream media. Millions of pounds were donated to charities - and directly to the family under certain understandings of what happened.

Now that this story is back for another news cycle because the mother has been charged for a very serious offence, with a maximum term of life imprisonment if found guilty, Hollie Dance’s life, and subsequently Archie’s, would have to be put under intense scrutiny.

The mainstream media won’t touch it because of how the original tragedy was covered. It would be absolutely damning for them.

Fair enough. The truth will out, whether the media want it to or not. Out of interest, which bits do you doubt - Hollie Dance being charged? Because I have the official police statement here…
