RIP. Legacy of some classic lines..
Don't let the ******** grind you down.
What I'm out for is a good time, all the rest is propaganda.
Whatever people say I am, that's what I'm not because they don't know a bloody thing about me! God knows what I am.

That's really sad RIP. Albert Finney was a major player in dragging British cinema up-to-date around the beginning of the 1960s together with contemporaries such as Tom Courtenay, Julie Christie and Laurence Harvey with Saturday Night and Sunday Morning an enduring great. He remained one of the UK's greatest cinema and stage actor throughout his life. A great loss.

I thought he'd gone before now, great actor and by all accounts a bit of a character outside of his work.

A long career, given one of his most famous roles in Saturday Night and Sunday Morning was made almost 60 years ago.

RIP

I was going to mention that film, great actor and fine man turned down a knighthood because of his principles.

RIP Albert. He was often to be found in the pubs and restaurants around Emsworth and West Sussex as something of a bon viveur. He was always very friendly.
I had a surreal moment a few years ago when I arrived at the pub I worked at about 7 am, outside was Albert Finney, bright as a button and smoking a cigarette, who greeted me with a booming "morning, chef!"

Loved him in Saturday Night. And he made me cry in Big Fish as well.

RIP, he appeared in one of my favourite films The Duellists.

As an aside it was Ridley Scott's first feature film done on a less than shoestring budget but if you get a moment just look at the cast!

Oh that is sad. He is in one of my top ten films, The Browning Version. What a performance. Magnificent actor.

"You shall receive exactly what you deserve. No less and certainly no more".

Oh , and Two For The Road. Beautiful film.
