For all those Ferdinand-philes out there can I just make the point that in his interview last night he made absolutely NO reference to the excellent England travelling support that had spent a fortune to be there on a cold Wednesday night.

He's very quick to have a pop at the fans in general but not so quick to recognise their unparalleled support.

Terry is a decent captain and just because we've beaten 2 minor sides Ferdinand is superman? Do me a favour.

Have to admit to being impressed with Rio over the past two games. Conducted himself well off the pitch and put in good displays on it.

rio is by far our best centreback - if he hadnt of missed that drugs test, then he probably would have been captain ahead of terry

Our best defender by an absolute mile. Composed on the ball and has had the ability to keep some of the best strikers in the game quiet in recent years (Torres). I still think the captaincy would do Gerrard the world of good (I appreciate this is a controversial comment), but Rio would definitely be next in line/

Chappers, with respect, you're talking shite. Yes Brown ducks, but the ball is already past him when he ducks, making it virtually an irrelevance. He was out of reach of the ball. I did think he looked dodgy last night actually, but that goal is not his fault.

Ferdinand - I doubt there's many, if any, better than him in the world at the moment.

That's just not true though. He could have headed that ball clear but instead he left it and ducked.

You lot are mental and I'm not talking about this anymore.

Max,
did Wes Brown do something to offend you?

Did he do it at the same party Theo Walcott slept with Chris Waddle's daughter/wife/mum?
