I'm thinking operating a video dootbell for my mum who has Alzheimers and lives 90 minutes away. I'm not keen on sharing data with Amazon what are the best alternativesto Ring? I want to be able to see, speak to the caller and it has to be loud enough (with a loud chime) for my mum to hear. Any tips please?

We’ve got a Blink video doorbell. It’s like the budget version of Ring from Amazon. Had it for 5 months I think and no complaints at all. Took a bit of a while to configure the “active zones” (areas where movement triggers the recordings) but other than that positive experience.

Postman don't ring them as whats the point when you need a signature or your not in.
We just knock the door
You can't hand over a parcel if your not in and we don't doorstep parcels
They are just a gadget to tell people you are not in

My postman rings it and I ask him to put our delivery in our summerhouse, he always does.
