...enough of this 'feeling sorry for yourself' shit.

We support a team still in deep shit, and we love it. We signed up for this grief and heartache and worry and joy and celebration when we chose to support Brighton & Hove Albion. We all knew what we were taking on when we signed up; no-one conned you into it. If you don't like it, you know where the exit sign is.

We should feel privileged and proud to support such a fine institution, so cruelly emasculated ten years ago but carrying on and thriving when most others would have had the undertakers in by now. We have brought our beloved club back from the naked edge of extinction with pride, passion, love, imagination, skill and flair. Oh, and a few quid.

We live, we breathe, we fight, we weep, we dream, we are all Brighton & Hove Albion, and at times over the past 10 years it has f***ing hurt. But so we lost last night and - diddums - we might (or we might not) go down. At least the pain and worry proves we are still alive and still kicking. And I wouldn't swap this for anything.

Me, I've already forgotten last night. f*** it, move on... it's just a small request for a sense of proportion, please.

Hey, at least you don't support Reading or Portsmouth or Leyton Orient or Crystal Palace - now that would be tragic.

Cracking post TLO. Lets face it 2 weeks of build up to Coventry is gonna make it a cracking atmosphere and i for one can't wait! That's after watching the past three games and thinking, christ we're gonna need to pull out all the stops to avoid relegation.

Onwards and upwards!

Dude, relax, we all know the situation.
There's nothing wrong in feeling a bit gutted though is there?
I feel happy when we win big games and I feel gutted when we lose 4 in a row - it really isn't rocket science.
Thankfully we have over a week to get over this, but why not feel rotten for a least 24 hours?

Anyone for Leonard Cohen?

But I've already kicked the dog through the window, so I'm OK now.

Bollox - I did no such thing! I started supporting the Albion when we had a real Chairman with money and ambition, the late great Mike Bamber. I did not choose the team with the current twat in charge! And, I will be supporting the team long after he is dust.

100% agree TLO. Don' care which division we are in... my blood will always run blue and white (and yellow or dark blue when I'm away)!!!! If we finish where we are now we will have exceeded my expectations for this season. The target has always been for this season...

(1) We will get Falmer.

(2) we will stay up.

If we get one of two it will still be a great year. If we get neither..... well we've been here before, come through it and come out stronger.

Keep the faith!!!

Well said TLO.

Let's face it, we're still three points above the relgation zone in the Championship. I feel much better about that than how I felt listening to the radio by myself in my room in Treforest as the Albion took on Hereford to stay in the League..., and were losing.

I'm with TLO here. Let's face a few home truths. We live in a far more expensive area than the likes of Rotherham, Grimsby and Walsall who are or have recently been at this level with small crowds. As such we have to pay higher wages.

We all know that we're bigger than we seem to the uneducated eye.

We cannot match the wages of say a West Ham or even a Wigan or Reading as we don't have a sugar daddy.

We're had ups and downs but we're still here.

Who do we blame ? Dick Knight ? Martin Hinschelwood ? Mark McGhee ?????? Where does it stop ?

If you feel the need to aportion blame start with Greg Stanley, Bill Archer, Bellendoti, the completely ignnorant government inspector and last but not least, the sad, pathetic, NIMBY's of Falmer. I'm very tempted to suggest that Osauna Bin Ladin that he commences his next terror campaigne there.

KEEP THE FAITH !

3gulls: By comparing and chairman with money and ambition (Mike Bamber) with someone you regard as a twat for only having ambition but little money.

DK has achieved more promotions in his time as chairman than Bamber did, they suffered the same number of relegations, they were both forward-looking in their choice of managers, each with one exception (Mike Bailey with Bamber, and Hinshelwood with Knight). Knight is on the cusp of attaining a new stadium for the club, where Bamber could only talk dreams. Bamber inherited a club, Knight inherited a total mess.

Don't get me wrong, Bamber was fantastic for the club, and we had our most successful period under him, but does Knight deserve the sobriquet of 'twat' because er, he, er...? Actually why don't you like him?

Tell you what 3Gulls, why don't you sod off and support Chelsea or Man U ? You really don't seem to have a ghost of a clue about the reality of the situation. Tell me, did you ever watch a Brighton side under Mike Bamaber in the flesh ?
