Touting an England ticket to a fellow Brighton and England fan for well above face value (and what you paid for it) when there is such an unfair allocation of tickets.

As much as I get pissed off with paying over the odds for tickets, touts are the only way I can get into most England games these days. I didn't bother re-joining the supporters club because I got absolutely nothing from it, therefore touts are necessary if I want to get into games. Everyone's a winner

If we lived in a perfect world then tickets would pass between fellow fans at face value, unfortunately we don't and you have no right to act all moral of judge my actions. Nothing wrong with it. Sold a ticket for The Who in 2001 for twice face value, bloke I sold it to gave me a tenner on top as he was so pleased. Was the Watford Town Hall gig. I saw him at the venue and he insisted on buying me a beer.

like drug dealers touts will always be there because they feed a demand/need.

I paid £18.00 to get into the last jam gig in 1982 and the ticket was worth about a fiver, only time i used a tout but it was worth it

Am I under the wrong misconception that all the tickets are supposed to have your name on them?? and you wouldn't get in unless you had ID that matched?? Guess thats gone out the window...

I was offered a ticket to the Donny game @ £90. I couldn't afford it as I was still at school then. I watched the game from outside the ground and then got in for the last 15 minutes.

I had a cricket game that got cancelled, and was not a STH so missed out on tickets. Shocking as so many appeared on the black market, plus fans from other clubs who wanted to see the last game at the Goldstone.

Touting is wrong full stop. No excuses.

They say that every time and never do it. If they did enforce it the grounds would be half empty at england games.

I don't see why, if the ticket is sold on, the new buyer should only have to pay face value.

I've had to jump through hoops to get my Brazil v Japan ticket from the FIFA website. That work is worth a premium of anybody's money, i.e. double face value is nearer the mark.

The ticket allocation system is always f***ed, and if they can't get it right to service demand then there has to be another way, i.e. touting.

It is a hard one. If I had spare tickets and a mate was wanting to go then I would more then likely give him the ticket for face value plus a few beers.

However if I was at the game and people were offering me silly money then it would be hard to turn it down.
