If Murray goes and we get a decent fee for him, perhaps we can bid for Bristol Rovers Ricky Lambert?

Billy Sharp seems to have been ruled out, but perhaps Lambert is more realistic. We can offer ambition and the chance to play in Championship (if his goals take us there).

Worth a punt?

Why not enter the random name of any striker who had 15+ goals last season?

Glenn Murray won't be leaving.

If he doesn't get fit and spend some time on the pitch, I think you're probably right. Unless we are desperate to offload him I can't imagine anyone paying decent money for him until he proves he is over, what has become a long standing spate of niggly injuries. I would hope that what's the club have told him as well.

Think we should look at what we have, once all the strikers are fit, will we really miss Murray? I don't necessarily think he is off iminently, but he is on the transfer list, one assumes he'll be off if an offer from up north comes in for him, until then I would expect him to be putting in a decent amount of effort to "up" his value. As for talking about signing players for £1M, I really thing we are a way off that happening.

I've always been a big Glenn Murray fan but he's starting to piss me off lately and hasn't done much so far to justify his large price tag. Come on Glenn, pull your finger out and get it together. We need you up front and firing on all cylinders. When he is playing well, Murray's a delight to watch but it happens rather too rarely for my liking.

But as far as we're aware Glenn has only had 2 injuries :dunce::jester::wink:

We rejected his transfer request so he shouldnt be on the list

This is true, they've just kept recurring everytime he plays for more than 35 mins :bigwave:

Or trains for the same amount of time...................

NB I like Glenn Murray as a player and if he wanted to be here would be a big fan but if he or anyone else doesnt want to pull on the stripes then as far as i'm concerned GET FIT COMMAND A BIG FEE AND f*** OFF!

I was initially gutted he wanted out as he is an exciting player and worth the entrance money alone when on song, but I am now starting to question whether he is taking the piss or is another Kitson

Glenn is a great player in this league and i do wonder if we have seen what he is truely capable of but I also think looking at our list of attacking options that we could use the money we'll get for Glenn and invest in someone with a bit more pace which would seem to be lacking up front? His style of play with that touch of class really only works when he is motivated to play to his strengths and the off pitch situation at the moment cant be helping that mindset.

Did you listen to Slade last night? Sounded like he was possibly concerned that Murrays attitude may be disruptive to the team spirit he's trying to build in the dressing room...........................................................................................................................................................portacabin.
