I'm sure Ricky is absolutely thrilled to be recognised alongside such broadcasting titans as Julia Hartley-Brewer and Piers Morgan.

Was he there to collect his award alongside fellow winner Nigel Farage?

That's partly what annoyed me about the previous seasons. He's just used it as a vehicle to voice his own opinions, all of which we've heard before. I don't disagree with them but it wasn't entirely original material.

I'm sure that there is some sort of hokey, gimcrack, tin-pot organization that will step forward and honour him with an award.
