Typical fucking shitty hot day here in Bombay.

RIP Richie. I hope he's buried in a beige/off white/bone/taupe/ coffin.

As an erstwhile student of Richie's legendary "flipper", I propose, with the greatest of respect, that Bombay Bevendean's coffin also contain his favorite pair of flippers.

Sad to hear. The greatest cricket commentator bar none. Great player as well, though well before my time.

Not a cricket fan but who didn't love him as a commentator. Also surely the man behind the much loved NSC "marvellous scenes"

RIP

R.I.P

Looks like a strong commentary team building at the TMS heavenly HQ.

Very sad news.

Legend is way overused but not in this case.

He had a bad car accident recently, it could have been as a result of that.
A cricketing great and one more personality gone.
Funny, I heard no mention over here yet?

An absolute great. Watching a clip of his commentary from the 2005 Ashes series, what's most striking is how little he actually says. Only ever speaks to enhance the game. How many commentators (particularly of the footballing variety) could take a tip from that?

Marvellous effort, that, Richie. Thank you.

Absolute legend. Fantastic commentator and not a bad player either. A tough day for Australia, RIP Ritchie..
