Totally agree. Quite simply the best pitch-side announcer I have ever heard. The man is in a class of his own and is nigh on irreplaceable.

There's pretty much no-one I dislike as much in Sussex (Greg Stanley and Norman Baker aside).
Richie's alright by me.

Although, as backup, I reckon @Comedy Steve would be good. Though he'd have to work on the family-friendliness of his language.

I'd sh!t myself that I'd say something out of order within the first ten seconds. Including 'sh!t myself'. Probably best it never happens, for all concerned.

With the clubs commercial link-up for both match commentary & new lounge sponsorship with Juice-who are in direct competition with Heart for local commercial listeners-any chance of him having an involvement are unlikely if Richie were to be given the boot IMO.

RR is part of the AMEX for me now, I love his winter get up and I hope next season he comes up with some new weird ways to say players names, its a bit cringe but I quite like it.it would be quite good if he could get up into the crowd and have a chat with a few people around the ground, RR meets the people. I also think he should wear a different hat each game throughout the season.
