That is the point he isnt that young to be a success as he is 24 in October an age by which many have established themselves.

I see your point but he has been with us for a short time really. It would be interesting to see how many players had yet proved themselves by this age & came good after, I'm sure there are many. How many of us mere mortals had become the success we had hoped at this point in our lives, a little different granted but not without foundation is this point made. We have more to come from Holdroyd & more to come from a younger lad we have on loan from Arsenal as well as the prospects such as those who have risen from the youth ranks such as Caskey, Dunk etc. As a forward we expect results very quickly but look at how daft those Fulham fans feel after their dismissal of Zamora. Give him time & see how he contributes to the team as a whole & if Gus thinks this other lad from York is worth a punt then I for one will take his judgement over those of NSC.

Non league players often establish themselves a bit later in their careers. Ian Wright, jermaine Beckford are both examples. I'm not comparing Holroyd to them I'm just saying don't write him off.
