I've got one and she can do loads of other things as well. Got her from the Kings Club a few years ago but I wouldn't suggest you get one there as they are way too expensive ... and most have been very well used too

I like rice - especially the wild rice -

If I was to buy a gadget at the moment - it would be a waffle maker - if they do them - i had my first waffle the other week and it was delicious!!!

Firstly boil a kettle of water. Meanwhile gently melt butter in a saucepan. Then add the rice and stir so all grains are coated (LOW OR NO HEAT).

Turn gas hob (or electric) to high and add boiling water so that it sits about half an inch above the rice and reduce heat to allow rice to simmer for 10-15 mins.

Job done - enjoy your "fluffy" rice.

For basmatti rice just wash in a large sieve, drain and boil - again just fill with water to half an inch above rice.

Who needs a rice boiler?
