Yes it is the biggest airshow in the world and thousands upon thousands of people enjoy it. My wife bought me a two day grandstand ticket to the show as a birthday present and I shall enjoy every second of it.

Staying in a hotel in Swindon and going to and from Fairford by shuttle, all prepaid by my lovely wife. Will look out for the Albion flag. Enjoy the show.

Youngest female pilot to fly with US Air Force display team
A 20-year-old pilot from Horsham, in West Sussex, has become the youngest woman to fly with the US Air Force Thunderbird display team.
Beth Moran started flying a year ago after deciding she wanted to do something positive following the Shoreham air disaster.
She took to the skies over RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire.
The F16 combat jets are in the UK as part of the 70th anniversary celebrations and will fly this coming weekend at the Royal International Air Tattoo.

On a vaguely-related airshow thing, mate took this stunning shot at Duxford 2017 airshow

Hope you enjoyed the show, swindonseagull - I certainly did despite the weather. Unfortunately, i couldn't spot your flag up on the hill. Guess it must have been a tad noisy for you at times with all those full afterburner, high g turns right overhead. Already thinking about next year

I believe there was a B2-shaped surprise addition to the lineup on Sunday?

Must have been a spectacular sight!

(sorry to bring this back to the top)

Yes, there was a B2, with F15 escorts (although it had been advertised in the morning that it was 3xB2's)

Lots of U2 activity on the Arrivals and Departures days as well.

Was anyone in the FRIAT stand. I saw someone in a Seagulls training top on Friday (I think), but was in the rather long queue to drop off my bags, so didn't want to lose my place if I came and said Hi. Didn't see the person again after I'd got out of the queue.

Brilliant 6 days, shame the weather got a bit mucky on Saturday, but thankfully improved in the afternoon.

Ticket booking form in for next year already :)
