I had watched Solanke a few times before he went to Bournemouth, he was totally shit from the start. If he had been loaned to a Championship club first, Bournemouth would have known not to touch him until they themselves were relegated. Brewster showed more potential in the Championship than Solanke has done in general. Brewster is definitely better than Solanke.

Totally agree, and better than Ibe (the other Bmuff to LFC overspend).

Strongly linked with Palace today, keen to move back to London and wants to join Palace.
Palace don’t want the buy back option for Liverpool, and would prefer a sell on clause.
Fingers crossed .

:clap2: Wish we’d gone in for Brewster as think he’ll be good - but at least Palace didn’t get him :ffsparr:

The price is a good deal but the buy back would have been the stumbling block for Bloom. He wants to be developing players that either play for us for years or we can sell for a good profit. Unless the buy back price is crazily high (which I suspect it isn't) then Bloom would not see anything other than short term benefit in this.

I understand it’s a 15% sell on clause plus a buy back clause within a 3 year period.

Think a lot of us wanted this lad, but clearly hasn’t impressed at Sheff Utd as rarely starts, and don’t think he’s scored a goal yet?! Liverpool had such high opinion of him and he scored in their pre season a fair bit and u23s etc. So is it confidence? Doesn’t suit their style?

The question is, if they go down and we went in for him, would you like a punt on him? Got a touch of the Solanke about it - who has hit 10 for Bmuff this season and may have been worth a punt...

No, we already have a couple of punts in Connolly and Zeqiri. It would probably do Brewster some good going back into the Championship, regaining his confidence and playing regularly.

Would be an expensive punt seeing as they just spent £20m on him ???
