He looks absolute quality. To get a highlights video like that in such a short time is some feat. If we could sign him permanently, it would be the most excited I've been since we signed LuaLua!

Ah mate - going to Albion games at Withdean was worth it just to watch LuaLua when he first joined. What a player he was - I think people forget just how exciting he was.

There is absolutely no substance to this rumor and fans are desperate to hang their hat on any viable rumour.

I hope I’m proved to be spectacularly wrong.

Nice montage, I'd agree with what you said but not sure he's pacey, wasn't leaving Championship defenders in his wake, but looks an intelligent player and strong on the ball, which I like

Difficult to tell - the other thing I meant to write was he hits a ball very cleanly. Scored loads of volleys and half volleys!

There is substance, the lad needs to play first team football this season. And everyone knows he ain’t getting picked ahead of the current Liverpool front 3.

I have no doubt he’ll at minimum go on loan somewhere.

Whether that’s to us.. is another question. I’m hopeful we can at least be in the reckoning.

I should have been more specific, linking him to us. Would be surprised to see Liverpool sell him unless they are having a cash flow issue would seem strange.

Wouldn’t be disappointed if he signed but my instinct is he won’t.

Not as strange as you think -

There’s various newspaper reports over the last few weeks and a sky sports article from today? Of course, could be bullshit, but considering we get threads when a random bloke/kid called scotch egg makes up a rumour or tries to guess at things, I’d say this one has a lot more substance potential than others...?

Indeed. And there was Naylor's tweet stating we are/were legitimately interested in him.

Anyway, now there's this...

Gyokere's + Brewster Swansea strike partnership?

No idea how legit these sources are.

Lol. This is same tweet I posted yesterday saying exactly the same "not sure how reliable this is".

Glad the Telegraph story elaborates that we could also be in the picture (as did Naylor a while ago).

Didn't realise Swansea had 1M followers on twitter!

Let's see how this shakes out.

I still think if Gyokeres' loan is confirmed then we have penned a deal with someone.

You have to wonder what the buyback clause will be if all this chat about a permanent move (with strings attached) is true (to any club).

With Ake (if I’m right), Chelsea inserted a buy-back clause into the deal he signed with Bournemouth. That clause stated that the Blues could re-sign him for double the figure - £40million - if they wanted him back.

So we sign Brewster for £20m, then Liverpool could potentially have him back for £40m until the clause expires if it was on the same terms as the Ake deal?

I certainly wouldn’t like the thought of Brewster hitting 15+ goals for us one season, only to be carted off back to Liverpool beyond our control!

Has this happened anywhere else before?
