Reyes red card

Ever since watching Reyes in his first spell have thought him a total liability. Awful passer of the ball (with the odd bit of showmanship that comes off) and OTT with challenges on numerous occasions, here he managed to combine the two, deserved red.

Going against the tide I didn't think it was a red...seems Holloway agrees ....as regards to the player ..seems a bit casual to me..one wonders about his commitment to the club...just a thought

Fair summary. He can be very niggling & over aggressive In the tackle sometimes. I've seen him leave his foot in on numerous occasions this season. Maybe the referees are getting wise to his reputation?!

I can't understand how people can defend the challenge. It was stupid and worthy of a red card. There doesn't seem to be any intent to get the ball, and even though the challenge is initially only one footed he does actually bring in the second foot as well.

The second he made the tackle I said to my boy it was a red card, it was a reckless challenge and he can have no complaints. The pass he made that led to the incident was terrible and on his latest showings I wouldnt be upset to let WBA have him back. I thought we looked much better with Calde playing behind Buckley and Reyes has been very poor since returning.

He's a liability. The mis-kick that led to him lunging at the other player was a terrible mistake. He would have been subbed before long by Poyet - hopefully - but now he's got a 3-game ban. He should know not to go in with both feet raised, especially with studs showing.

Red for me. When I saw it on the football league show, I couldn’t believe how it came about: Reyes is in possession without any real pressure from a Blackpool player and he just passes it straight to their bloke and then lunges in!

Hollloway said it was a yellow... Cost us that did :(

Still Calde deserves a chance in long run. Reyes looked amazing in 1st spell but not so good 2nd spell - funny old game. Still think he can play a big part if we sign him perm though...

That Blackpool player giving him the finger in the Argus photo this morning... shouldn't that have been a yellow for aggressive behaviour? Or can you do whatever you like to a player when he's been sent off?

6 yellows, 1 red (away to Blackpool) in 32 games last season
7 yellows in 34 season before

At least he's consistent at Blackpool. Got sent off in his previous game there for West Brom

I think the Blackpool players made the most of it, as there wasn't really a lot of contact, and the Blackpool player made the most of rolling around and staying down.

Doesn't matter if he made a meal of it, a red is still a red. Was a reckless challenge and didn't seem to be any real intent to get the ball.
