TLO, that is promising, reading between the lines it sounds like he could stay with us but have something like a minimum release fee clause if a Championship team showed interest.

Am I the only one that thinks things might change, with regards attracting and keeping players, if Mrs Kelly says yes!

I would be very keen with the minimum fee release. Even if it is something around £50k which might tempt him to stay and 'acclimatise'.

I think a Yes would certainly help us tempt better youngsters to join the ranks. I am not sure if it would have an immediate impact on signings as it is still 3 years away.

Hmm, not so sure. He knows Reading and West Ham have come sniffing round for him. I'd say the chances of us keeping him are one in five at best. But hey, this is Brighton & Hove Albion - anything can happen!

The point is that the bulldozers won't start moving in until May next year at the earliest. Only when people see work actually commencing will the interest (commercial, investment etc) really take off. Sadly, until then, as we've found to our cost before, there are still obstacles to get past - not least of which is Lewes District Council's obstinacy.

I just think that the yes result will spread an air of optimism through the club, players, supporters and city, that after years of treading water we are heading in the right direction...heaven knows that we could do with it.

I agree that it probably won't have an immediate impact on signing players, especially as building won't start straight away, but I have always had a suspicion that there are a number of investors waiting to know that our horse is still in the race before they put money on it.
