I'm sure they were called Treets way after that, well into the late 70's early 80's maybe when i was a nipper.

Ah-ha...chance to trot out one of my most favourite jokes of all time.....

I went to the doctors with a peanut in my ear.
The doctor told me 'no problem, young man, simply pour in some chocolate and it will come out a treet' !!!

Maltesers need very little encouragement to melt. If you don't believe me, hold a handful of Maltesers in your clenched fist and then look at the resulting mess.
