They lived pretty close to St Lawrence School, no?
You are right.Just around the corner from the police station

You're talking about John Brooks and not John Harris I presume. In which case, that comes as no surprise.algie said:Bloody hell. What a small world it is.Well you know first hand the quality of my dads work.He has finally packed it up and gone into restoring antique clocks etc.You remember manhunt, playing the Olympics(making medals lol)Remember when we played indoor football at Sydney West and my team thrashed everyone?Had Brooksey in the team and you know he was decent along with Randall and myself.I'm affraid i don't knock around John no more.Been years as he is on heroin.Feel sorry for his mum who i saw a while back.
Simster said:Yes, opposite me for a while Edna. When were you at Downlands then? I think we've had this conversation before, didn't you leave in 1985 (making you a year older than me)?

Wasn't Brooksey a friend of Ian Cuss - brother of Albion ball boy legend, Keith?

I'm not quite that old
St Lawrence from about 1983 to 1988 and Downlands from 88 to 93.
One of the Cornfords was in my brother's year (one below me) and another one was a year older (Jamie??). I seem to recall at least one of them were into horses, which obviously if you were a teenage boy meant you were permanently labelled gay, as is the way of schoolkids.
I didn't know Stumpy Tim personally, though I knew of him. He was in the year above me at Downlands.
I can't remember what his username is on here, but there's another St Lawrence/Withdean regular on here, who used to live at the top of Cuckfield Road, near Manor Road.
The one who was into horses was probably Liam, and he really is a fully paid up gayer these days apparently.edna krabappel said:One of the Cornfords was in my brother's year (one below me) and another one was a year older (Jamie??). Ah, that must mean that I left the school the same year as you arrived, which is a pity because I can't now say I FANCIED you at school without being exposed as a liar. Then again, you'd have to worry about a 16 year old who fancied an 11 year old so I probably wouldn't have said it anyway.edna krabappel said:I didn't know Stumpy Tim personally, though I knew of him. edna krabappel said:Do me a favour, I'd have been about fourteen when they got rid of the police station in Hurst!
But if you were the local hard-nut I'm sure the kids all knew who you were anyway, it's a small place. Was it you who used to leave all the porn mags in the woods near Fairfield Rec?
Sorry but as far as I'm concerned, the bloke rides a cock horse.algie said:Leave Frank along BHAEpress. He isn't a bad bloke
algie said:No,I was more into other crimes I was very well known in Hurst.Mainly with the police. But that was years ago.
edna krabappel said:Ah but in those innocent days you probably only had to get ticked off by the police for possession of a bit of weed for all the local kids to convey instant hard-nut status on you and turn you into a bit of a local legend. I remember being horrified when a lad a couple of years older than me told a teacher to shut up. How times change...
If I remember correctly, there was a family called Wickens whom all the local kids had down as practically on a level with the Krays, despite the fact they probably never did anything to warrant it
