The Championship.
My sister didn't do that great in hers last year so Blatch let her stay on and do re-takes which she has now done and is going to college in September. I'm sure you can do the same. Or try get on apprenticeship?

This is one of the worst day's in my life, text tony he'll tell you why, sad day.

Marcus, honestly don't worry about them too much. In 15 years they won't make a jot of difference.

In other school related news, retaking my first year at college and have no idea what to do.

Every year better results since 88 or something. Well done to everyone .

Would love to resit mine, would piss them these days

Luckily exams mean squat when you can lie on a CV so easily

24 years ago I got entered for nine O Levels and got two passes: a B in Art and C in Geography. I stayed on at Sixth Form and got my current job before I knew the results GCSE exams that I did. Incidentally I got two B's and two C's.
Have been with the same firm for twenty three years, have a nice home and am pretty settled in Brighton.
Your results may have been bad and it may seem like the end of the world, but believe an old sod like me, it ain't! You have plenty of options, you are sixteen and you have a wonderful life ahead of you.

SHIT results, that bad that i'm not going to post of here because its embarrassing. I can only blame myself and now I don't know what to do. Shit day, so glad football is saturday to cheer myself up.

See my post above.

When I did mine, I got 1 C, 5 D, 1 F and a BTEC in German. Absolutely gutted I was, but still got into Chichester College on the course I wanted, with no hassle or re-takes, 10 years later I am a senior management in a company doing well, doing better than most of my mates who got As and Bs and loving life. GCSEs only help you get to the 'next' step, I have never been asked for them in any of my jobs, as they were more interested in me and my college grades. So do what you can to get onto the next step of the ladder and keep going!

I've come back home.
marcgorry 15 years ago today i thought i was screwed and felt like a reject.

I did my GCSE's and crashed and burned badly: i got 3 C's, 4 D's and an E (French!). One of my D's was maths and i knew that what ever happened i needed to get at least 4 C's with English and maths as two of them. So as all my mates went of to do A Levels, i felt a stupid c*nt and the school let me re-take maths. At the end of that year i was shown the door (in the nicest possible way) but i didn't care i had a C!

Off i went and worked in bars and shops for a few years, then thought sod it I am gonna join the army. Now the army has its own entrance exams (enables them to select the right job for you) and with my minimum GCSE grades and a decent mark on their exams i joined up. 10 years later I am a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer in the Army, in a highly technical job, on a good wage, a flat, a car, a chest full of medals, NVQ's all over the place and have been all over the world.

Life is a long road and what seems to be a massive issue today is only a speed hump that slows you down, never stops you. What i am trying to say is today is not the worst day of your life, its just the first day of the next stage of your life. School, mates, GCSE's etc...thats not what tomorrow brings. Tomorrow is work, apprenticeships, retaking a few GCSE's, listening to the advice and finding what is the right thing for you to do.

Best of luck and keep your head up.

GCSE's don't count for shit nowadays. I got 12, all B's and C's, went to college did no better there, getting BCC. Went to UWE, walked out with a 2:1 and now i'm in banking. Nearly all the people I know that got A's in GCSE's and A levels have not gone on to much. If you work hard, you'll be successful, and as somewone else has mentioned, it's better to rely on a CV than exam results.

My sincerest and heartfelt condolences.

Appreciate it. Never been through this sort of thing and it's not been easy. It's good everyone from my school have been getting close to remember her, laying flowers tomorrow for her so going to be another hard day although i'll be okay, don't want her looking down and see'ing me acting silly.

Sorry about your friend Marc.

Don't be too down though, as others have said it counts for shit all. I used to lie about my GCSE's on my CV and nowadays I don't even bother putting them on there. There are even other routes into uni with access courses and what not :)
