restaurants around haywards heath

its the missus birthday next week and we dont go out for dinner much what with having a little baby so i thought id take her out for a nice meal. anyone got any recommendations? not too poncy but nice fodder and nice atmosphere. im thinking a nice gastro pub in the sticks would be nice. done all the ones in haywards heath and they not really up to much (as is the town to be fair)

The Bent arms and the Witch both do nice. Witch is a tad on the expensive side.

If you and your good lady like a good curry, you could do a LOT worse than the Nizam. I've been twice, and its been superb.

So I take it they've gone back to the old coupon two-for-one carvery crap, after Ramsey tried to change it into a grillhouse ?

I remember seeing him with a film crew down The Broadway while he was shooting that episode. The IT bloke who owned the Priory came across as completely and utterly CLUELESS.

im going to bar nun tonight for a beer as i know the band playing . been there loads and have met the bloke. firstly all i can say is yes the bloke is a complete cock. hes ignorant , arrogant and generally not nice to talk to. secondly he is a palace fan . thirdly , i used to run pubs pub/restaurants in london and can say in all honesty the bloke hasnt got the first clue what hes doing.

now if i had that place...........

The Half Moon at Warninglid. Excellent.

Limes Bistro in Lindfield is not bad, but a bit noisy last time I was there.
