Maybe I'm really stupid/naive (or both) but how is that possible? Are there no decent fish in the English channel?
I guess it's demand and sustainability. For example the seafood on Ibiza is rarely local as there's too much demand and it wouldn't be sustainable to fish it all from the local seas. I guess it's the same for the south coast? I'm sure some of the fish in Brighton is from local waters/Shoreham but not all/most. I know there's some chefs who read this....any comment?
