Dangerous Idiot
No Newcastle aren’t a championship side, tough game ahead.
That was Gomez’s first start why would he need resting?I think he will change it up…
Ayari, Welbeck, Adringa and Hinshelwood
For Gomez, Pedro, Minteh and Lamptey.
Not sure that makes us any weaker TBH.
There isn't. Such a clause is not allowed when selling/buying players. Mainly to prevent big teams from buying obscene number of players that they can later sell with a "nah, can't play against us"-clause.Well, if they're is an agreement not to play Minteh against Newcastle this season we will find out on Sunday.
But I would expect Wieffer, Ayari to start and maybe Adingra
No. With Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and Spurs out of the cup and City being awful, this is the best chance in like 20 years for a "non-big" team to win the whole thing. This is a chance that no remaining PL team can allow to slip.NO.
Do wonder about Newcastle though. Already in a final, chasing CL football. Will Smug Eddie rest anyone?
Sorry old boy, but the respective League Championships in 01,02 and 11, had meaning and huge significance in the clubs history.Would love to see us win the first ever f***ing trophy of any meaning in our history.
And there is a fair chance I will miss the final as I am down to have my knee replaced in May.
Frankly they can replace the lot with Long John Silver's wooden monstrosity if it means we win the cup.
Sadly Veltman is injured, otherwise he’d be a shoe-in at right back.Anyone carrying an injury that could worsen or needing time to heel, yes.
Need to give the sick-notes the boot.Anyone carrying an injury that could worsen or needing time to heel, yes.
I guess Loafer-di Kadıoğlu won’t be playing.Anyone carrying an injury that could worsen or needing time to heel, yes.
Absolutely nothing to stop us agreeing to such a clause, if it was to our benefit to do so.There isn't. Such a clause is not allowed when selling/buying players. Mainly to prevent big teams from buying obscene number of players that they can later sell with a "nah, can't play against us"
The Premier League rules in Section L of the PL handbook are very firm that clauses preventing a player from playing against their former club are not permitted.Absolutely nothing to stop us agreeing to such a clause, if it was to our benefit to do so.
But it's pretty unlikely, will give you that
Very tough. I thought over half the 11 looked out on their feet at 50 minutes yesterdayDoes Fab change things up for Newcastle at the weekend with one eye on Fulham now that we are in serious contention for European football (or dare I say Champions League Football?)
Wonder where the priorities lie now?
Tough balancing act.
Wouldn't expect it to be in a contract, just a gentleman's agreement between clubs - if of course it existed at all which is pretty unlikely. I think last time the idea came about because he was completely missing from the squad for our game there with no indication of an injury. But in the end I think he did turn out to be injured and missed a few gamesThe Premier League rules in Section L of the PL handbook are very firm that clauses preventing a player from playing against their former club are not permitted.
If there is such a clause in Mintehs contract, the by far most likely outcome is that our opponents will be awarded a 3-0 win in every game Minteh participated. No different to playing unregistered or suspended players, in that is a severe breach of competitive fairness and integrity. So it would certainly have to be a very secret agreement.
